Meriden opens state-of-the-art Sport Centre

12 March 2016

Meriden's new state-of-the-art Sport Centre was officially opened by The Hon Craig Laundy MP and Ms Jodi McKay MP on 11 March 2016.  The event was attended by more than 350 people from the local and school communities.

The impressive new complex features a spectacular range of facilities including indoor and outdoor courts for tennis, netball and basketball, a first-rate fitness centre, change rooms, a mezzanine level for spectators and a kiosk.  The complex also features a lecture theatre, multi-purpose areas for group work, classrooms, staff rooms and underground carpark.

The Sport Centre is the second stage of Meriden’s three-stage building project which commenced in 2015. The final stage, scheduled for completion in late 2016, will see the addition of several classrooms and staff rooms and extensions to the School’s existing hall including a performing arts space.
