Upcoming Key Academic Dates

As we approach the conclusion of Semester 1 and look ahead to Term 3, families are encouraged to take note of several important academic dates and events.

Release of 7-11 Semester 1 Reports

At the end of Week 10, the Semester 1 Academic reports will be published to parents via the Meriden App. We hope these reports provide helpful feedback on your daughter’s progress so far this academic year. Parents are encouraged to provide feedback on the new 7-10 reports to Mrs Chilton, Head of Teaching and Learning – jchilton@meriden.nsw.edu.

 

Year 12 Term Break Revision Sessions

In Week 1 and 3 of the term break Year 12 have been offered revision sessions run by their teachers on campus. Students have a copy of the timetable. Please note that no new content will be covered in these sessions. My thanks to the generosity of the staff who have volunteered to run these sessions.

 

Year 10 Subject Selection Evening

On Wednesday 22 July (Week 1, Term 3), Year 10 students and parents are invited to the Year 10 Subject Selection evening. At this event key information about subject selection will be provided to parents and girls in the lead up to selecting their subject preferences in Week 2 of next term. We urge all parents to attend this evening with their daughter.

 

Year 12 Trial HSC Examinations

The Trial HSC examinations will commence in Week 3 of Term 3. Year 12 have been provided a copy of their timetable and reminded of the processes and procedures their examinations and for the illness and misadventure procedures during this period. If your daughter is unwell on the day of a Trial examination, please contact Ms Sascha Bass – sbass@meriden.nsw.edu.au.

 

HSC Music, Drama and DACA Showcases

During Term 3, we will also showcase many of the practical performances and projects of our HSC students, celebrating the culmination of their work as they prepare for their final HSC performances and submissions. Please save the following dates and come along to enjoy the creativity of our students and support them as they make their final preparations for their HSC examinations.

  • Year 12 Music Recital Nights – Thursday 30 and Friday 31 July
  • Year 12 Drama Showcase – Thursday 20 August
  • Year 12 DACA Showcase – Thursday 20 and Friday 21 August

 

We encourage all members of the community to support our students at these significant events.
