Getting to School

Meriden’s central location in the heart of Strathfield makes travelling from all areas of Sydney and surrounding regions convenient and direct.

Strathfield is well-serviced by public transport and the School is only a few minutes’ walk from Strathfield train station and bus stops.

Meriden provides private bus services to many areas of Sydney where the commute may be more difficult to navigate by public transport.

Uniforms

The Meriden Uniform Shop stocks the complete school uniform and sports uniforms, except for shoes. All new students must be fitted for their uniform. Our staff members are experienced in fitting growing girls and can advise on the exact requirements for summer, winter and individual sports. An appointment should be arranged for a fitting which typically takes 45 minutes.

Following the initial fitting appointment, uniform items can be purchased online, over the phone or in store at Shop 1, 8-14 Lyons Street, Strathfield (between the Commonwealth Bank and Strathfield Sports Club).

Meriden students must wear the school uniform neatly and properly while at the School, at all school events, and when travelling to and from the School. Variations to the school and sports uniforms are not permitted.

Canteen

The Junior School and Senior School canteens offer a wide range of healthy, seasonal foods and beverages. An online ordering system is available for parents to place and pay for lunch orders.

For students in the Lingwood and Junior School campuses, lunch orders must be made online by 8:00am. Orders are filled and returned to the classroom by lunchtime.

In the Senior School, lunch orders must be made by 8:00am. Alternatively, students can purchase their lunch from the canteen at lunchtime. Students may also purchase items before, during and after school hours using cash or funds on their student card.

Outside School Hours Care

Meriden’s Before School and After School Care programs are operated by Camp Australia, a leading provider of high-quality OSHC services.

The programs offer a safe and caring environment for children to play, form friendships and create positive memories. Varied and fun activities are included in the programs and breakfast and afternoon tea are served daily. Homework and quiet time are also encouraged and supported to ensure children are ready to return home at the end of a busy day.
