The Meriden Foundation plays a pivotal role in the ongoing development of the School. Its aim is to provide resources to maintain a high standard of educational excellence and guarantee future independence and growth. Its work is essential to Meriden’s future.
Through the generosity of its donors, the Foundation raises money to assist in financing building programs, improving and extending resource centres and facilities, and ensuring that staff skills are constantly upgraded through professional development.
Since its establishment in 1992, the Foundation has played a major part in the growth of Meriden. The Foundation’s most recent Capital Appeal, titled Hitting the High Notes, raised funds to purchase the pianos for the School’s magnificent new Greenhalgh Centre for Music and Drama which opened in May 2022.Â
In recent years, the Foundation has assisted in the financing of several major projects including the extension and refurbishment of Wallis Auditorium in 2018; the building of the Meriden Sports Centre in 2016; and the development of Blackman Auditorium in 2011.

Donations
You can help Meriden continue to fulfil its vision by donating to the Foundation. There are many options to extend your support and every dollar of your gift will be directed towards the area you choose.Â
The options include:
- Donating to the Foundation Building Fund. This fund finances major capital works.
- Financing a new facility or building in your name.
- Donating to the Library Fund. This fund ensures that our library resources keep pace with the rapid advances in information technology.
- Funding a scholarship, bursary or annual student prize in your name.
- Arranging a bequest.
The Foundation also welcomes donations from business organisations. Through a corporate donation, your organisation will be associated with one of Australia’s leading independent girls’ schools and will be investing in the future of education in Australia.
