Golden trifecta for Junior School swimmers

Our Junior School freestyle relay team delivered a sensational performance at the NSWPSSA Swimming Championships to bring home the gold – completing a golden trifecta for Meriden with three consecutive victories in this event!

The girls shaved five seconds off their CIS Swimming Carnival performance, winning an incredibly close race by just 1.5 seconds.

Claire Huang (Year 5) showcased her talent across six events over the two-day competition. Her standout performance came in the 200m individual medley, where she claimed first place with an impressive five-second lead!

Meanwhile, Livia Li (Year 3) maintained her strong form from the springboard, securing second place with a confident and consistent performance. This marks the first time Meriden has achieved a medal in Diving at these Championships.

We’re thrilled to share that Claire will now go on to represent NSW at the School Sport Australia Swimming Championships in Victoria this October. It’s set to be a memorable and exciting opportunity – one she will treasure for years to come.
