Head of Junior School

The Year 6 leadership program enables all senior girls to voluntarily contribute to service roles in areas that interest them. During the year, student leaders organise focus weeks and activities to help other students explore how to be responsible citizens who care for people and the environment. Including the girls’ voices in decision-making increases engagement and helps build a positive culture of belonging and connection to others.

This term, highlights of the student leadership program included the Library Team’s Book Week celebrations, National Science Week activities led by the STEM Team, and the House Leaders’ Compassion Week activities. The SCG Team developed their leadership skills through CruFit training at Trinity Preparatory School, and the Prefects presented their focus week activities to other schools at the IPSHA Social Action Expo.

We are pleased to see the Year 6 girls use leadership opportunities to help younger students and peers think about serving others.

Summer Uniform

The girls will wear their summer uniforms in Term 4. While Kindergarten to Year 6 do not need to wear blazers to and from school in summer, blazers are required for Chapel and Assembly each week and other formal events.

Information about the uniform is available in the Junior School Planner. Please check your daughter’s summer uniform to ensure it still fits and arrange to have the hem taken down if necessary. Year 6 girls can wear the Senior School summer dress in Term 4, which is similar in style to the current uniform but has a slightly different cut.
