It was wonderful to see so many parents at our recent Parent Teacher interviews. These meetings provided valuable opportunities for teachers to share information about the girls’ progress while also allowing us to learn more about our students by listening to parents’ insights about their daughters.
Our second round of interviews will be held on Monday 28 July and Monday 4 August. These conversations will complement the Semester 1 Academic Reports that parents will receive at the end of Term 2.
To continue learning about your daughter’s growth and progress, parents are encouraged to regularly log in to Seesaw to view their daughter’s digital portfolio. The portfolios show work samples from both class and specialist teachers. The digital portfolio provides opportunities for conversations about learning and experiences that are happening at school. When children talk about their learning, it can help solidify their understanding and build their confidence.
Looking ahead, students from Years 1 to 6 will present their Learning Showcases in Terms 2 and 3. The Learning Showcases are another way for parents to gain insights into the learning that is occurring at school. Specific dates will be communicated closer to the time by our Dean of Curriculum, Mrs Jenny Wong.
Our teaching staff value the partnership we have with our families. Working together enables us to better understand and support each Junior School student.
