As the term comes to a close, a number of exciting activities are taking place at the school.

Last week our Tennis squad successfully defended the Tildesley Shield for a 16th consecutive time. The girls and their coaches have been preparing for this since the last event, and they performed very well as a team over the three-day competition. The Shield culminated in an all-Meriden doubles final where Gabriela Garipova and Aimee Jin defeated Jessica Dimovski and Georgia Massey, followed by a victory for Giselle Guillen in the singles.

In Week 10, the school looks forward to the production of the Senior School musical, Seussical. The cast, crew and staff have long been preparing, and they are keen to entertain the Meriden community at The Concourse in Chatswood over three nights, Thursday 3 to Saturday 5 April. Some additional tickets have been released and may be booked here.

The Cadets Annual Field Exercise gets underway in the last week of term, in partnership with Trinity, at Singleton. The student leaders, under SUO Olivia Lee’s leadership, have put together an exciting program for the camp and are eager to get underway.

Our first language and culture tour to China departs Sydney on Thursday 10 April for two weeks. Year 10 Chinese language students will complete an exciting itinerary including visiting Beijing, Xian, Chongqing and Shanghai, sampling some of China’s amazing cities, sites and culture.

I would like to invite parents of students in Years 8 to 11 to act as parent social organisers for 2025. The role will act as a point of contact for year-group-based social activities planned for later in the year.

Interested parents should complete the Google form available here.
