Head of Campus

Week 5 will see our Years 8 and 9 students take part in their annual year group camps. Groups of Year 9 students are heading to Southeast Queensland, Cape York and Fiji, departing on Sunday 9 November.

Another Year 9 group will head to Youthworks Port Hacking Conference Centre from Monday 10 November to Wednesday 12 November, followed by day activities on Thursday and Friday. Students are looking forward to these camps and the opportunities they provide to engage in meaningful acts of service and to consider and develop their own perspectives towards service.

For those travelling further afield, please note the travel arrangements and the drop-off and pick-up arrangements at Sydney Airport, as communicated to you by email. Year 8 Camp will take place from Wednesday 12 November until Friday 14 November at the Youthworks Shoalhaven Conference Centre in Watersleigh. This camp has the theme of challenge and resilience building. Students undertake activities including hiking, rafting, and canoeing while also enjoying camping overnight in tents.

Please take a moment to log in to Parent Lounge and check your family’s details and especially your daughter’s medical and dietary requirements.

Senior School Speech Night is approaching, and I would like to remind families of the date, Tuesday 9 December, and location, Sydney Town Hall. This is a compulsory evening for all Senior School students.

In Week 1 of this term, students and staff from our partner school, Ti Tree School, travelled to Sydney and visited us at Meriden. Students engaged in a variety of lessons at both the Junior and Senior School, including Science with Mrs Phillips and Visual Arts with Year 9 students. They also enjoyed some Sydney sightseeing. A group of Meriden teachers will travel to the Northern Territory in Week 4 to work, teach, and learn alongside Ti Tree School staff, students and community.
