A very warm welcome to 2026. What a joy it is to see our campus filled with energy, laughter, and bright smiles once again!
To ensure a smooth start to the term, please note the following reminders:
- Road Safety: With increased traffic at the start of the term, please exercise patience and vigilance during peak drop-off and pick-up windows to keep our community safe.
- Labelling Belongings: To help us reunite lost property with its owner, please ensure your daughter’s items are clearly labelled with her name.
- Parent Lounge: Information for the start of the school year has been sent to families, including reminders about updating your daughter’s details on Parent Lounge and the list of compulsory school events, which require permission to be given.
- Parent Groups: If you would like to volunteer within the Meriden community, please register your interest
- Cashless Canteen: The Senior School Canteen will no longer accept cash. Students will need to have a Flexischools account.
Year 7 and New Student Photo Day: Year 7 students and all new enrolments will have their photographs taken on Monday 2 February in preparation for their student cards. Further details will be emailed to students.
Year 10 vaccinations: On Friday 13 February, a team from NSW Health will be on site to deliver the Meningococcal ACWY vaccine to Year 10 students. Parents can learn more about the program and will need to provide consent online at https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/immunisation/Pages/schoolvaccination.aspx
Cocurricular Activities
Cocurricular life is a vibrant and essential part of a Meriden education, building confidence and resilience. We are looking forward to resuming cocurricular activities over the coming weeks. If your daughter would like some guidance on available groups, Mr Richard Hughes, our Dean of Student Involvement, would be happy to assist (rhughes@meriden.nsw.edu.au).
The year ahead promises exciting opportunities for connection and celebration. As 2026 unfolds, House activities and camps will continue to energise school life, strengthening a strong sense of belonging and community alongside a vibrant calendar of campus events. These experiences begin early in the year, with Year 7 camp taking place from Wednesday 4 February to Friday 6 February, followed closely by the Swimming Carnival on Wednesday 11 February.
