Strengthening Partnerships for Student Wellbeing and Learning
Save the Date | Parent–Tutor Meetings Years 7 – 10
On Monday 20 April, we will be holding our Parent–Tutor Meetings via Microsoft Teams between 2:30pm – 4:00pm. These meetings are a valuable opportunity for families to connect with their daughter’s Pastoral Tutor, who delivers the pastoral program, and works closely with the Year Coordinator to support each student’s wellbeing, engagement, and growth.
Importantly, students are expected to join the conversation alongside their parents or carers. This ensures that all three partners – family, student, and school – can share insights, set goals, and strengthen the shared understanding that supports each student’s success.
Because the meetings will be held online, families can join from different locations. This means that if a parent or carer is at work, travelling, or not physically with their daughter at the time, they can still participate easily through the Teams link.
These conversations are much more than a routine check‑in, they are an important part of nurturing strong and meaningful partnerships between school and home. Research consistently shows that positive family–school relationships are one of the most powerful influences on a young person’s learning, development, and psychological wellbeing. When parents and carers are actively engaged and connected with their child’s school, students are more likely to perform better academically, settle more smoothly into routines, and feel valued, knowing that the adults in their lives are working together.
Our Parent–Tutor Meetings are designed to strengthen these connections. They provide a supportive space to share insights, celebrate growth, and ensure that your daughter is surrounded by a consistent, caring network of adults, who know her well and are committed to working together.
We look forward to meeting with you online on 20 April and will share full booking details via the Meriden Parent App soon.
