The Winter Wellbeing Edit

Our Prefects have brought warmth and connection to the colder months with their Winter Wonderland initiative. Students enjoyed viewings of Frozen and embraced the theme by adding a touch of winter apparel on Thursday, creating a sense of fun and community across the school.

As we continue to wrap up warmer, it is also a timely reminder to protect ourselves against the respiratory illnesses that are more common during this season. As a community, we share a responsibility to look after one another. Staying home when unwell is a simple but important way to reduce the spread of illness and support those around us. Small, intentional actions like these make a meaningful difference to our collective wellbeing.

Maintaining up-to-date vaccinations and practising strong hygiene are also practical and effective strategies. This includes something we often overlook, our personal devices. Phones and AirPods are handled constantly and rarely cleaned, making them an easy place for germs to build up. A quick weekly wipe is an easy step that can help reduce exposure.

As we approach the upcoming break, it is a valuable opportunity to rest and recharge. Taking a proactive approach to your health now can help prevent illness and support your ability to ward off colds and the flu, so we can all return feeling refreshed and ready for the term ahead.
