The Bettina Gowing Museum and Archives were opened in February 2009. In addition to safe-keeping school records and memorabilia, the Museum provides a display area for students to visit to learn more about the history of their school.
The Museum and Archives are named in honour of Mrs Bettina Gowing (Kessell, Class of 1929). Mrs Gowing had a long and generous association with Meriden – over 90 years, in fact. She attended Meriden from 1917 to 1929 and then worked as the School's first secretary to the Principal. She continued to support the School throughout her life, regularly attending reunions and events.
