Notes to Fee Schedule

Enrolment Fee

Any place reserved for a student may be offered to another applicant if the enrolment fee is not paid by the date stipulated.

Payment of Tuition Fees

Fees may be paid by BPay, cheque or credit card. A charge applies to credit card payments. Fees are payable in accordance with the date displayed on the fees notice. An administration fee of $95 is charged on overdue accounts.

Advance Payment

The option to pay fees in advance is available to parents. This currently attracts a 3% discount for tuition fees paid 12 months in advance. Please enquire at the Business Office.

Voluntary Building Fund

The school has a Building Fund to which parents and guardians are encouraged to contribute $150 per term per family. This contribution is fully tax deductible and receipts are issued.This money is used for major building works.

Capital Fee

This money is used for maintenance and other minor building works.

Reductions

In the case of sisters, a reduction of 10% of tuition fees will be made for a second child and 20% for every subsequent child. There are special reductions for children of clergy. Fees on application.

Extra Subjects

Extra subjects are optional and application should be made at the beginning of each year. Relevant fees are available from the Business Office. Payment arrangements are made with the extra subject teacher who bills parents independently of the school.

Text Books and eTexts

Any text books or eTexts purchased by the School on behalf of students are charged to their account.

Uniform

Uniform items can be purchased from the Meriden Uniform Shop.

Excursions

A number of excursions and activities are planned for each Year group. Such excursions and activities are an integral part of the school’s program and all students are expected to participate.

Notice of Withdrawal

A full term’s notice of the withdrawal of a student from Meriden is required in writing to the Principal, or a full term’s fees will be payable. The same applies to withdrawal from an extra subject.
