Meriden has been recognised as the best overall performing school in the Inner West for NAPLAN in the recently released results, ranking first for primary school and as the second highest performing high school in the area.
Meriden has a strong history of excellent academic results, ranking twelfth in New South Wales for HSC results in 2021 and consistently performing well in other state, national and international subject-based competitions.
Achieving these results after two years of pandemic disruption to learning has proven the resilience of Meriden girls and the dedication of Meriden’s teaching staff.
Meriden’s Principal Dr Julie Greenhalgh said “We are delighted with the NAPLAN results that reflect the dedication of Meriden students, and the expertise of our teaching staff. To return these results after two years of unanticipated challenges to our regular learning environment, demonstrates that Meriden girls continue to strive for excellence under even the most trying circumstances”.
