Dr Benn
Head of Junior School

The Junior School production of Moana Jr. is fast approaching. The production is directed by Ms Annemaree McLeod whose expertise in musical theatre has inspired our young performers. Each student in Years 5 and 6 has a role, and I am sure their families will be captivated by the two evening performances.

The first performance will be held on Thursday 22 September, which coincides with the National Day of Mourning declared by the Prime Minister. According to the Plans of Observance for the National Day of Mourning, there is no formal requirement to suspend events. We are mindful of the friends and relatives travelling long distances to see the production and family commitments to other school events at this time of year, which is why we have decided to continue with the performances on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 September.

There will be a special acknowledgement of the life and service of Her Majesty The Queen at the beginning of the performance on Thursday 22 September.

JSA Walk-a-thon

Thanks to the generosity of Junior School families, the girls raised more than $37,000 through the recent JSA Walk-a-thon. The seating ordered as a result of the substantial donation from the JSA will enhance our playground. Thank you to Mrs Val Ko, JSA President, for coordinating the Walk-a-thon.
