Term 3 concluded with a spectacular production of Moana Jr. presented by students in Years 5 and 6. Students in Kindergarten to Year 4 enjoyed the dress rehearsal, and the two evening performances delighted the girls’ families and friends. The themes of courage, service, leadership and teamwork resonated with the audience as the performers shared the empowering story of Moana through their superb acting, singing and dancing. Thank you to Ms Annemaree McLeod, Ms Melinda Bryant, Miss Rachelle Fair and all the staff involved.

I would like to draw your attention to some special events in Term 4.

• Tuesday 8 November – Junior School Celebration Concert, Wallis Auditorium, 6:00pm.
  The Music ensembles and choirs will perform.
• Tuesday 15 November – Meriden 125^th Anniversary Concert, Sydney Opera House, 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
  The Sinfonia, Chamber Strings and Years 5 and 6 Choir will perform.
• Friday 2 December – Pre-Kindergarten Christmas Celebration, Lingwood Campus, 10:00am – 11:00am.
• Monday 5 December – K-2 Christmas Concert, Wallis Auditorium, 6:00pm.
  The concert will involve every child from Kindergarten to Year 2.
• Wednesday 7 December – K-6 Prize Giving Ceremony, Wallis Auditorium, 9:00am.

The teachers have spent the non-term time planning excellent learning experiences for the girls. The teaching and learning will continue until the end of term, as we don’t “wind down” in Term 4 at Meriden! Families are asked to prioritise attendance at School when planning vacations at the end of the year, as we expect students to be here every day unless they are unwell.
