The following students have been elected by their peers to form the 2023 Student Representative Council (SRC). The group meets once a fortnight with the SRC Prefects to give a voice to matters that impact the student body and make recommendations for positive, tangible changes. I look forward to working with them this year.

Two large-scale events draw closer as we approach the end of Term 1. The Senior School production of Annie will take place next week, with performances on Thursday 30 and Friday 31 March, and Saturday 1 April. The cast, crew and staff have worked hard to put together this fantastic show for the Meriden community at the Chatswood Concourse. Final tickets are available here.
The Annual Field Exercise (AFX) for girls involved in Cadets will take place from Sunday 2 April until Thursday 6 April, at Singleton, Hunter Valley. A select number of girls involved in the Advance Party will depart on Friday 31 March. This event is the highlight of the Cadet training year, where girls are able to put into practice the theoretical knowledge they have learnt over the last two terms. All girls are encouraged to embrace the camp with energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to push themselves to develop their leadership, service and teamwork skills.
The Term 1 sporting season is drawing to a close. I have had the privilege of watching several matches across a variety of sports and have been impressed by the skill development and sportsmanship of the teams and individuals. Thank you to Mr Mark Heathcote, Director of Sport, and his team in the Sports Department for a successful term that included the Meriden and IGSA Swimming and Diving Carnivals, Fun Run, Inter-House Sports Day and the Tildesley Tennis Tournament. I look forward to the competitions which will be held in Term 2.
Please be reminded that girls wear their winter uniform in Terms 2 and 3. Please ensure your daughter’s winter uniform is ready to be worn from the first day of Term 2, Wednesday 26 April. The Uniform Shop is well-stocked and eager to meet your uniform needs.
