Mrs Kenny
Head of Teaching and Learning

Providing feedback to you on your daughter’s academic progress is an important part of our partnership. The Year 10 Parent/Teacher Interviews next Tuesday will conclude the series of designated evenings to meet with your daughter’s teachers. To complement these interviews, Year 11 reports are currently available on Parent Lounge and Year 10 reports will be published at the end of this term.

Electronic reports (eReports) in Years 7, 8 and 9 offer continuous feedback. eReports can be accessed via the Meriden App by selecting eVe, clicking on your daughter’s name and then selecting eReports. The data provided (Course Grade and Distribution, Endeavour Grades, Approaches to Learning, and Assessment Marks and Distribution) is best considered in conjunction with the teacher’s feedback or comments on the assessment and brought home via the folder. This feedback will assist you to identify the strengths in your daughter’s work but also the next step that she needs to take to improve.

The table below shows the subjects where Term 2 data will be available at the end of next week. Tasks completed within the last two weeks will be published at the beginning of next term.

Year 7 Chinese, English, French, Geography, Music, Technology Mandatory, Visual Arts
Year 8 Ceramics, Chinese, Forensic Science, French, Graphic Design, History, Mathematics, Music, News and Contemporary Studies, PDHPE, Science, Technology Mandatory
Year 9 Commerce, French, Geography, Japanese, Latin, Mathematics, Music, PASS, PDHPE, Science

Year 12 Revision

During the term break, the Hudson Library and Research Centre will be open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm for private study. Additionally, during the first and third weeks of the holidays, teachers of selected subjects will offer revision lessons to help Year 12 students prepare for their upcoming Trial Examinations. These lessons are not compulsory and will not cover new material but do provide a structured approach to study. I encourage Year 12 students to take advantage of the generosity of their teachers by attending these sessions and submitting work for feedback. Click here for the timetable of revision lessons.

Farewell

As you’ve heard from Mrs Brown, I will be leaving Meriden at the end of this term to take up another opportunity. I want to thank you sincerely for your support over the years and I pray for God’s generous blessings for the Meriden community.
