Head of Teaching and Learning

It was lovely to see the girls return well-rested this week. The teaching staff spent time in the past weeks preparing Term 3 units of work, including programs for Years 3 to 6 that address the new English, Mathematics and Modern Languages syllabuses being implemented this year. Even when topics and syllabus outcomes remain the same each year, we update and rework teaching programs to suit the students in each class.

There are several events planned for Term 3 that parents are warmly invited to attend. The Junior School teachers look forward to hearing your feedback and discussing the girls’ progress and next steps for learning at the Parent/Teacher Interviews on the afternoons of Monday 29 July and Monday 5 August. Some parking will be available from 4:00pm in the Senior School car park underneath the Sports Centre. Parents entering the Junior School Campus from Vernon St should use Gate 12.

Our learning showcases will continue in Term 3. As we deliberately keep the audiences small for the Years 1 to 3 showcases, parents are welcome to attend when their daughter’s class is presenting. Parents of girls in Years 4, 5 and 6 are invited to attend the learning showcase hosted by their daughter’s year group.
