Creativity Week and Launch of Meriden Muse 2024

Week 7 is Creativity Week at Meriden. This year’s theme is Amplify. During the week, students have had the opportunity to participate in extra activities during recess and lunchtimes, all centred around the theme. These activities include TED-Ed presentations, hip-hop lessons, a children’s book illustration workshop, a writing workshop, a game show and a chess competition. There is plenty for students to be involved in, with many special guests throughout the week.

During some lessons, there have also been activities that inspire students to learn new concepts and ideas around the theme. All subject areas will be participating with varied activities throughout the week.

This week we also launched the inaugural edition of Meriden Muse. This is a journal of student works that highlight the wonderful achievements of our students. There is a large range of articles, artworks, compositions, stories and essays. The works are truly inspiring with their depth of knowledge, critical thinking, creativity and an outstanding level of detail and skill. I commend this publication for you to read and appreciate. It is such a wonderful celebration of the talents shown by students at Meriden.

Meriden Muse is available here.

I would like to thank Ms Priscilla Curran, Dr Jocelyn Laurence and Miss Tara Graetz for their efforts with Creativity Week. A great deal of preparation is done behind the scenes and we are truly grateful for their work.
