Curriculum

The curriculum at Meriden is designed to cater for a range of ability levels and interests, and to prepare students for their studies in Years 11 and 12. The curriculum provides a wide range of choice and variety.

Students with high academic ability are supported through a differentiated curriculum and through grouping in classes which cater for advanced learners.

The curriculum provides support for girls for whom English is a second language and for girls with learning difficulties. This support is provided by specialist staff in the form of classroom assistance and through the independent learning skills course and the English Language Skills course which are offered as elective choices for these students.

For girls who are elite sportswomen, assistance is provided through the Olympus program and for our outstanding young musicians, the Amadeus program is designed to assist in maintaining a balance between academic working and the cultivation of their talent.
