Our Year 12 Drama and Dance students took to the stage of the Wallis Auditorium for the 2026 HSC Showcase, presenting an evening that celebrated creativity, collaboration and artistic excellence. The showcase provided students with the opportunity to share the results of months of rehearsal, refinement and dedication with an audience of family, friends, staff and fellow students as they continue preparations for their upcoming HSC practical examinations.
This year’s Drama projects included Scriptwriting, Costume Design and Individual Performances, with students demonstrating originality, skill and a deep commitment to their craft. The showcase highlighted the significant effort invested by the cohort in bringing each project to life.
An Evening of Creativity and Storytelling
The audience was also treated to two outstanding solo performances from HSC Dance students, Grace and Samantha. Their pieces, Becoming and Facade, showcased impressive technical skill, creativity and expression, highlighting the individuality they have developed through their choreographic work. Several Drama monologues were also performed, introducing the audience to a diverse range of characters, from a cactus enthusiast and a primatologist to a host of other memorable personalities.
The evening featured a series of engaging Drama Group Devised Performances. Sienna, Maayaa, Dahlia and Indiana delighted the audience with Nothing to Louvre, a humorous take on the Louvre robberies. Sneha, Clementine, Aishani and Sophie presented G.O.D.S., a sharp and satirical exploration of censorship, while Elissa, Lexi and Celeste showcased their creativity and wit in their devised performance, The Chat.
We congratulate all our Year 12 Drama and Dance students on their outstanding achievements and thank them for sharing their performances with the school community. We wish them every success as they approach their final HSC examinations.
