Twenty-four Junior School girls proudly represented Meriden at the 2026 IPSHA Athletics Carnival, held at the Sydney Olympic Park Competition Arena, where they competed against athletes from across the IPSHA community.
With the Carnival taking place just five days after our own School Athletics Carnival, the students approached every track and field event with enthusiasm, confidence and determination. Across the track and field disciplines, the students rose to the challenge, with a number achieving personal best performances. These results are a testament to the hard work, commitment and preparation the girls had demonstrated in the lead-up to the competition.
We are incredibly proud of every member of the team for the way they represented Meriden. From cheering on their teammates to competing with determination, the girls displayed fantastic team spirit and sportsmanship throughout the day. Their enthusiasm, perseverance and positive attitude were a credit to themselves and to our School.
A special congratulations goes to Adelyn (Year 5), who achieved an outstanding seventh-place finish in the 11 Years Discus. Competing in a highly talented field, Adelyn’s result was a wonderful achievement.
