Meriden's Junior School is a dynamic, exciting and inspiring place to learn and grow.

The Junior School has approximately 300 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Small class sizes contribute to the progress of students and thorough differentiation of teaching programs offers extension and enrichment opportunities as well as learning support and support for students for whom English is not their main language.
Meriden’s Junior School consistently performs well above the state average in the National Assessment Program (NAPLAN). Results in various competitions such as the Maths, English and Science Competitions organised by the University of New South Wales are similarly very strong.
All students attend weekly Chapel services and participate in Christian Education classes. Our aim is to enrich the lives of our students and to help them to develop a better understanding of God, the world, others and themselves. Meriden’s students are encouraged to put what they have learned into practice through service to the school community, the local community and the global community.
Students of all ages participate in an exciting Outdoors Education program that helps them to develop new skills, independence and confidence. In addition, a broad cocurricular program is offered including music, sports, dance, debating, visual art, chess, technology, and Crusaders, a Christian group for primary-aged students.
The Junior School has an outstanding range of facilities including spacious classrooms, a superbly-appointed library and centres for music, languages, drama and art. Blackman Auditorium, a state-of-the-art facility, is located on the Junior School campus.
Students at Meriden Junior School learn in a technology rich environment. Electronic white boards, banks of iPads and computers in classrooms provide teachers and students with ready access to the latest technological resources.
