IGSA Championship
Meriden’s Senior 1st Football team finished the season undefeated, scoring 22 goals across six games and conceding only four. In a thrilling grand final at Tom Wills Oval, Meriden defeated the reigning champions, Pymble, 2-0 to secure the school’s first-ever IGSA Championship trophy!
Our Junior 1st team also enjoyed a phenomenal season, scoring a massive 15 goals in six games to remain undefeated. Unfortunately, a rained-out match prevented the girls from facing the first-placed team, a matchup the players and coaching staff were highly confident they could win.
Additionally, several other football teams secured strong positions across their respective grades. Well done to everyone involved.
CIS Cup
The Meriden High Performance program secured a historic trophy against several powerhouse schools, winning the CIS Cup final 5-2 against Central Coast Sports College. On a memorable day, the girls delivered a breathtaking, dominant performance, shocking last year’s champions by storming to a 3-0 lead in the first 20 minutes. The victory featured incredible moments from goalscorers Dolly (Year 11), who scored three goals, as well as Tahlia (Year 12) and Kate (Year 11).
These standout moments were backed by an immensely hardworking team across the park. The girls defended relentlessly and played beautiful football, making all Meriden staff and students incredibly proud.
Well done on a historic achievement that will be remembered at Meriden for years to come.

CIS Championships
Congratulations to Tahlia, Lexi and Kyah on their selection to the CIS Team. The team earned a spectacular second-place finish, narrowly missing out on the top spot by just one goal.
