Congratulations to Amity (Year 6) on her outstanding achievements in football over the past fortnight.
Amity was selected to represent CIS at the NSWPSSA Football Championships, one of the highest levels of primary school football competition in New South Wales. Bringing together talented players from across the state, the championships provide an opportunity for students to compete against the strongest school-aged footballers and showcase their skills on a representative stage.
As a member of the CIS team, Amity helped guide her side through an impressive tournament campaign. The team remained undefeated throughout the championships, demonstrating excellent teamwork, skill and determination in every match. Despite their strong performances, they narrowly missed a place in the finals after a 0-0 draw and an unfortunate corner-kick tiebreaker.
Amity was a standout performer throughout the competition, finishing as the team’s leading goalscorer. In addition to scoring several crucial goals, she created opportunities for teammates and made a significant contribution at both ends of the field. Her technical ability, game awareness and work ethic were evident throughout the tournament.
Just days later, Amity returned to the field to compete in the National Premier Leagues Finals with Western Sydney Wanderers, playing in an older age division. To back up a demanding representative championship with another elite-level competition is a remarkable achievement and reflects her commitment, versatility and passion for the game.
We congratulate Amity on these outstanding accomplishments and look forward to following her continued success both on and off the field.
